Coffeeneuring 2025
The fifteenth Coffeeneuring Challenge. Seven rides to at least six places, ridden across two states: two on a bike trip along the Erie Canal in New York, and the rest back home in Colorado.

Ride 1 was the short hop from NYC Velo, where I picked up my Surly Long Haul Trucker, to Penn Station and a train up the Hudson. Ride 2 came three days later, in Utica, after a Nor’easter had rained out most of the day before.
Rides 3 and 6 were “coffee shops without walls”: stopping somewhere on the bike to brew or drink. That’s how seven rides fit into six places.
The Rules in 2025
- 7 rides to at least 6 different places
- At least 2 miles (3.2 km) round trip each time
- No more than 2 rides a week
