Mondi Timber was a huge lumber operation with a large sawmill. I found the yard manager and followed him to his office.
- Role: journey waypoint
- In the book: The narrator drives about sixty kilometres from Mbabane through forested mountains to the sawmill at Piggs Peak; the yard manager lets him take planks, the driver overloads the truck, and they unload in the dark at his school in Elulakeni, which has no electricity.
- Why it matters: The sawmill is the source of the wood the story is about.
