a project I did while in residence at Recology SF, I spent three months photographing, cataloging, and researching the origins of two hundred discarded objects.
- Role: backdrop
- In the book: Odell was artist in residence at the city dump and made The Bureau of Suspended Objects there, a catalogued archive of 200 discarded objects. It illustrates her ‘observational eros’ and her medium of context.
- Why it matters: A concrete site of her art practice of giving attention to existing things.
