The streetcars in Toronto are barely functional.

- In the video: Toronto is the video’s main negative example: for decades it built subways under streetcar lines and then removed the streetcars to free the streets for cars. The surviving streetcars get stuck in traffic and at red lights, the Queen streetcar’s bus replacement cost a million dollars a month, and the narrator fell on the tracks on Dundas Street.
- Why it matters: It is what the narrator left, and the contrast that gives the Amsterdam praise its edge.
